## Name the result

“Help with documents” is broad. “Turn these notes into a Word report with a consistent format” gives you a much better starting point.

## Check the environment

Read the supported client, required tools, dependencies, and setup instructions. A skill file being readable by your agent does not prove that every script and dependency will work.

## Look for evidence

Prefer a clear source, specific examples, and an honest description of limitations. In OpenYourAgent, a source summary is not an independently verified recommendation.

## Try one small task

Test with an input you understand and can check easily. Notice where you needed to intervene, and whether the result was actually useful.

## Keep what helps

Add a capability when it solves a repeated need. Revisit it if the underlying product changes or the instructions stop working.
